Our Youth Director at home with Advent's youth ministry   Jan Berry Schroeder started as Director of Youth Ministry Sept. 1. 2006. Her family, Mark, Zach and Katy Rose are members of Advent. She was born in Philadelphia, lived in Lansdowne as a girl, then moved here from Lake Forest, Illinois where they were members at Church of the Holy Spirit.   Jan's has a master's in counseling and extensive experience working with youth, facilitating groups, and public speaking on topics including Christian based parents, and finding meaning in the ordinary. An EFM graduate, she has taught church and vacation bible school for over 10 years. Jan is excited to be working with Advent's youth , and grateful for the support she has received from the Advent family. She encourages youth and their parents to call any time with questions or concerns, or simply to talk.
